Vincent Married to Helen

There was once upon a time
In a cute town called Michelville
A man who was then three hundred months of lifetime
Vincent, whose university prowess could not but thrill
That year, Vincent was in his fifth year
It was his final year of graduate study
He spent a university crossing spiced with chubby cheer
For he picked mesmerising marks which were far from cruddy
But Vincent remained single until then
For he cherished his studies more than marriage
But when he heard mocking comments on him from some men
He resolved to prove them wrong with sheer courage
As the days went by
Vincent looked here and there
He was searching for a woman sweeter than any milk one can buy
Fortunately, he saw a woman sweeter than chocolate everywhere
The woman was splendid
Called Helen, her face shone with beauty
Her charm made Vincent a little morbid
For when he saw her, he felt so excited anywhere in the city
Vincent began to probe more about Helen
He was determined to marry her come what may
For a woman whose pleasance was outswollen
He wanted to find out more to melt his doubts every day
Some scorching love flooded Vincent
He loved Helen with all his heart
For Helen was plumply magnificent
He thought of her almost every hour with blissful tart
One day, Vincent went to a baker’s shop
He wanted to buy some bread for the morrow
There he saw Helen, and his smile found it fit to pop
He was holding a bag in one of his hands without sorrow
It was such a famous baker’s shop indeed
It hosted massive throngs tough to defy
Thence, clients had to form two queues with no misdeed
To buy bread, even when impatience ran high
Delighted, Vincent found himself standing next to Helen, by chance
He was rejoicing in his heart secretly
For he had found a golden opportunity of great significance
Which he decided to seize unhesitatingly
Suddenly, Helen’s phone fell down
Vincent quickly picked it up for her
He handed her the phone fervently as to a queen with a crown
“Thank you, sir,” she said, with her face so pleasant as myrrh
The two got to know each other
They even asked each other trivial questions
They were filled with immense joy to be together
They hankered after a morning walk hand in hand with no oppressions
Vincent focused on his studies nonetheless
He was itching to graduate with distinction without fail
And he saw Helen as a prelude to access
He wanted to stun her to bring her affection onto a large scale
A few days elapsed with assiduity
And there was Vincent in a park
He met Helen there, radiant with her carefree beauty
He drew near her with some boldness of a monarch
They greeted each other with pleasure
And immersed themselves in a delightful dialogue
They spoke about their plans and wants in a blissful measure
Their mutual love thumped them more than any drug can flog
Vincent and Helen became a love couple
They loved each other with hotly emotive powers
Each discovered how much the value of the other was supple
They seemed to say: ‘May every couple be like ours’
Intelligent, Vincent completed his studies in pharmacy
He achieved the distinction he had had in mind
A feast was organised to sweep his worries with blatant normalcy
The graduation party brought Vincent pleasure, and sadness resigned
Vincent found a very well-paid job
He worked for an international organisation
The world heard his identity as a wealthy, valiant pharmacist throb
And his handsomeness pungently surpassed petals in decoration
He stunned Helen with his fortune and his rectitude
He thus proved to be ready for his wedding
With the seriousness that crammed his conduct and attitude
He prepared for his wedding with some diligence widespreading
Vincent had saved enough for the feast to come
Many contributed to its organisation with comity
Joy and laughters shone brighter than pewter in an alluring sum
Music, drinks and delicious dishes fuelled the festivity
Vincent’s honeymoon was euphoric
He had prepared for it with great seriousness
Helen, too, derived some ecstasy that she found exotic
Both kept pulchritudinous souvenirs with preciousness
The couple lived in harmony
They spoke to each other with boundless love
They enjoyed each other’s company
Their marriage life was imbued with some happiness tough to shove
Habari nzuri leo!
