Mango Tree Respecting Me Forever

Long ago, when I discovered your value
When your splendour still sounded new
While you potently seduced my view
I found it fit to plant you

O mango tree! So different have you become!
Your tallness is even louder than any drum
For your attraction surpasses that of each plum
As the fruits from you are immensely yum

Should you happen to be the tallest tree
Even if I scream that you are vastly free
Even though pride comes to you in scree
Let respect, gratitude and love walk by three

Remember I have watered you with assiduity
I have worked hard for your beauty
And so faithful have I been to my duty
In order that you can be so fruity

For me to stand and walk happily
Show me some love even implicitly
Even whisper that you love me dearly
Albeit I wish that you say it loudly

When the wind visits you someday
Shake your leaves at me, I pray
And do it as strongly as you may
To say that it is time for my pay

Although your fruitiness has made a hit
To the extent that everybody greedily wants it
Let me unceasingly gain plump profit
For I have begotten your kingly benefit
